252 Scheme

The 252 scheme is a national archery award scheme that promotes development that is within reach of most archers.

Awards are available from 20 to 100 yards for both Freestyle and Barebow archers.

To obtain the 252 award you have to score 252 (or 189 barebow) with 3 dozen arrows at the chosen distance into a 122cm face using Imperial 5 zone scoring, and you have to do it twice!

Badges are available for each distance at a cost of £2 each. You will need to submit two qualifying score sheets.

We would normally advise archers to progress through these in order.

The 20 yard 252 award can be shot Indoors so let us know if you’d like to try that.
